Robert J. Mooney

Robert J. Mooney "Bobby" passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 62. He was the beloved son of the late Roberta and Joseph Mooney. Loving brother of Fran Elder (Mark), Joe Mooney (Liz), Dorothy Mooney (Kevin) and Patty Loftus. Bobby will also be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Louise, and by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Bobby will also be missed by his good friend, who was more than a friend -- like a brother, Julio and Julio's family.

Bob was a proud 1980 graduate of North Catholic High School. He also served in the U.S. Army. Bob was a hard-working guy driving for Auto Parts, and rarely missed work. Bob was an avid Philly sports fan with a ton of sports knowledge. Bob loved music, especially the "oldies." He had a love for ELO (Electric Light Orchestra), mainly because of our Dad who loved music just as much. Bob had a hearty laugh that would make others laugh and a great smile. He had a deep love for his family and will be missed more than words can say.

Relatives and friends are invited to Bob's funeral on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124 (corner of L Street and E. Hunting Park Avenue.) His visitation begins as 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery in Havertown.
