Judy Nguyen

Judy Quan Thu Hoang Nguyen, age 70, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. 

She was the loving wife of Sang Duc Nguyen for 50 years. 

Judy Nguyen was born in Nha Trang, Vietnam. In 1980, Judy, along with her husband and children, left Vietnam and came to America, while pregnant with her third child. The family resided in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia for 21 years before relocating to Northeast Philadelphia. Judy graduated from Temple University in 1995 with a degree in Chemistry and from there she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for the remainder of her life. 

Judy was an active member of Holy Innocents Parish. She loved to sing in the Church Choir and help with coordinating events at the Church for the Vietnamese community. Judy also loved traveling to Vietnam to visit her family, ballroom dancing, cooking, singing and being around her family and friends. Judy especially loved being around her grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, Sang Duc Nguyen, she is lovingly survived by her mother and eight siblings in Vietnam, her son, Huan Nguyen of Philadelphia, PA, her two daughters, Ky Nguyen of Tucson, AZ and Maryann Nguyen of Philadelphia, PA, and her five grandchildren, Kristi Nguyen of Philadelphia, PA, Alexander Le of Tolleson, AZ, Bryan Le of Tucson, AZ, Kayla Le of Tucson, AZ, and Amiyah Santiago of Philadelphia, PA.

Judy's funeral will take place on Friday evening, February 14, at Holy Innocents Church, 1337 E. Hunting Park Avenue. Her Visitation will begin at 6 PM followed by a Funeral Mass at 7 PM. Interment is private.
