George E. Maurer

George passed away peacefully in his home in Langhorne during the early morning hours on Thursday, December 26, 2024. He is the son of the late George and Verna "Elaine" (nee Hilkert). George is survived by his wife Jacqueline (nee Mancuso), his daughter Cheree Da Silva, his two grandsons Christopher Da Silva and Ryan Da Silva.  Shortly after they married, George was drafted and served as an Army Medic in Vietnam. He loved the Veterans. Over the years, George made it his practice to put flags on the graves of veterans.  He was an avid collector of painted label beer bottles and he loved The Three Stooges. He spent most of his working career in telecommunications as a Switchman, retiring from Verizon. George enjoyed long walks on the beach of Stone Harbor while spending many summers at Shellbay Camping Resort in Cape May Court House. He will be missed by his family and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA. Please join the procession on the main road leading into the cemetery by 11:20 AM. We will process together to the gravesite. There will be Military Presence at the grave.
